IMPROVE YOUR THOUGHTS, FEELINGS AND BEHAVIOURS

Know thyself

ARE YOU READY?

We live in the information era where knowledge is valued above all.

Whether you’re CEO of an international Plc or self-employed running a small business, your success will depend on your self-knowledge and how well developed you are as a human being.

How well do you…..

Handle pressure

Meet important deadlines

Adapt to change

Work with colleagues

Influence

Make decisions

Deal with setbacks and failures?

Without doubt there’s other factors involved, including good old luscious luck, however, if you crack yourself, everything else will be a hell of a lot easier.

WHAT IS COACHING?

The idea of coaching goes back at least as far as the 7th Century BC with reference to a wise man called “Mentor” in Homer’s Odyssey, who provided a supportive relationship to Odysseus’s son, Telemachus.
Modern day coaching has many influences including academia, sports, counselling and patricularly from the pyschological theories and practises developed by and since The Human Potential Movement of the 1960s.
Eminent psychologists, including Abraham Maslow, Carl Rogers and Irvin Yalom, were champions of human potential and leading figures in the field of humanistic psychology and human nature, providing frameworks for positive personal transformation.
Specifically, taking a lead from Rogers’ and his “Person” or “Client Centered Therapy”, coaching focuses on a non-directive approach. The client leads conversations with the coach playing a supporting role through active listening, powerful questioning and timely evidence-based feedback.
LISTENING AND SUPPORTING
When’s the last time you were really listened to, truly understood?
Coaching is a non-judgemental relationship providing unconditional belief in clients.
We listen deeply to fully understand, always holding your best interests at heart.
It’s a unique supportive space for clients to explore their current thoughts, feelings and behaviours, helping form empowering plans to live a more meaningful and inspiring future.
Coaches hold an encouraging (yet challenging) mirror up for self-reflection, experiential learning and self-directed reliance.
It’s a partnership to help realise your potential and fulfill your ultimate goals.

FIRST STEPS

Chemistry Session (approx. 30-45 mins)
Meet in person or Zoom to have a chat.
The relationship is key for you getting the most out of the process, so it’s important we get on! If after this stage, either of us feel it’s not quite right, no worries.
Contracting
To include agreed timings, proceedure of sessions, confidentiality, cancellation process, ethical standards etc.
This can also include any specific requests you have in terms of topics, goals, needs to address as a priority.

Sessions
6 – 10 in person/Zoom sessions of approximately 1 hour each, scheduled every 2 – 5 weeks to suit.
From experience, it works best when you give yourself enough time in between sessions for reflection, planning and actioning things arising during the sessions (as this is quite often where the “magic” happens, as well as during the sessions themselves of course!).

MY STYLE

Non-directive and solution focused.
